Agrimetrics part of 50 Game Changers
Agrimetrics is delighted to be selected as one of ConnectTVT’s 2018 50 Game Changers in the Thames Valley. Now in its third year, the programme brings together the region’s most disruptive, fast growth digital and tech players.
Agrimetrics has created a unique data platform for the agrifood sector, connecting rich field data most relevant to addressing sustainable food production as well as building new data capabilities to support industry and start-ups across the sector.
As one of the 50 Game Changers, Agrimetrics, joins a community of future-facing start-ups and scale-ups, looking to drive change through product and service innovation.
Launched in 2016 by ConnectTVT founder, Louize Clarke, the 50 Game Changers was designed to give a voice to, and connect, the Thames Valley’s digital ecosystem.
Previous Changers include Fairsail, acquired by Sage People, Oxford Nanopore, who recently closed a £100m investment round, and Datasift, acquired by Meltwater this year.
Louize explains, “50 Game Changers is so much more than a list of highest turnover companies – it’s about those championing change. To create a thriving digital landscape, we have to encourage a diverse mix of businesses across our innovation layers. We love to give a voice to those supporting community projects, the early stage start-ups right through to those heading towards their exits.”
This year’s cohort is the strongest to date and have, collectively, secured over £55m in funding in the last 12 months. The programme is supported by Henley Business School, EY, FSE and Fora.
Agrimetrics CEO, David Flanders says: “We are delighted to be recognised as a business championing new technology and change. Linking vast amounts of siloed data from the across the food and farming system offers farmers, industry and society a great opportunity to extract sustainable answers to our most pressing local – and food global challenges.”
The 50 Game Changers publication will be distributed on 22nd November at the Festival of Digital Disruption VIP event.
