David Flanders

David has long served in senior positions across the ag and bio-sciences for software and technology providers. CEO since launch in 2016, he has taken Agrimetrics from initial government funding as the agri-food Data Marketplace, to a commercially independent supplier of SAAS/DAAS Data Platforms and AI and data science services.

His previous positions include CEO and co-founder of an Anglo-Finnish ag-tech start-up; CEO of a genomics big-data SME, where he raised the first growth capital; UK Site Head for a US-listed human stem-cell company; COO of a proteomics and systems biology start-up; and led international teams producing life-science data-integration software at a German SME, a major US ag-tech company, and at Stanford University. David has a BSc in Agricultural Botany from Newcastle University and a PhD in Developmental Biology from the Australian National University.
