Achim Dobermann

Achim is a respected expert in research for sustainable agricultural development in all world regions. Prior to joining Rothamsted Research in 2014 he served as Deputy Director General for Research at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and was a Professor of Soil Science and Nutrient Management at the University of Nebraska, USA.

As co-chair of the Thematic Group on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) he also contributes to defining the goals, targets and indicators for the global post-2015 development agenda.
