Farmer, business strategist and policy advisor
Emily Norton is an agricultural regulatory affairs specialist with a particular interest in behavioural economics.
After qualification as a lawyer (Cambridge, Trinity Hall), Emily read for an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture (Harper Adams) and returned to work in her family business in Norfolk, developing an on-farm dairy to supply added value dairy products direct to the public and enhance returns to the farm bottom line.
The business has achieved local and national award recognition, including being a finalist in the Farmers Weekly Awards 2017 Mixed Farm of the Year.
Emily is an agricultural advisor to a senior European politician, a director of Norfolk Food and Drink Ltd and she is a Nuffield Scholar for 2018.
